Lipedema Surgery Center is led by lipedema surgeon Marcia Byrd, M.D. The center is located in Roswell, GA, just north of Atlanta, GA. Dr. Byrd has lipedema patients coming for her treatment from all over the Atlanta Metro area, as well the entire United States, Canada and Europe. Dr. Byrd has performed thousands of lipedema procedures in her over her 30 year career.

Treatment for Lipedema

Lipedema is a chronic condition with no cure. Dr. Marcia Byrd offers therapies and surgery to improve symptoms, reduce leg size, and provide ongoing care and management.

Liposuction is the best choice for removing painful lipedema fat. Dr. Byrd performs patient customized lymph sparing liposuction using specialized cannulas that remove this diseased tissue in a non-traumatic way.

Dr. Byrd specializes in the latest lipedema-specific liposuction performed under local tumescent anesthesia (not general). Lipedemic fat is carefully removed using lymphatic-sparing (WAL) Water-Assisted Liposuction , (PAL) Power-Assisted Liposuction, and Vaser Liposuction.
